CAR-T CELL THERAPY

How it works

An antibody that binds a T cell and a tumor-cell target at the same time, bringing them together.

The patient’s own T cells are genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor that recognizes the tumor.

Product

Off-the-shelf; available without cell manufacturing.

Personalized; requires apheresis and a manufacturing period.

Administration

Repeated dosing, typically starting with a step-up schedule.

Typically a single infusion following lymphodepleting chemotherapy.
